Meet Our Staff



At Mobile Bay Dance Academy, our teachers believe in you. We are committed to encouraging and motivating each and every dancer, no matter their ability level! We teach in a Christian and uplifting, yet structured dance environment. We want our students to learn to love the art of dance while being respectful to all of their fellow dancers and instructors.



Katherine Renner



Miss Katherine began her dance training at the age of 3. She trained at various dance studios and then joined Mobile Bay Dance Academy in September of 2005. She has been with MBDA for 15 years! Her passion for dance and motivating teaching technique has grown through teaching and choreographing for all ages. She is looking forward to this season and sharing her passion for dance and creativity with the next generation of dancers.



Jenny Reber



Miss Jenny is our fabulous preschool dance teacher. She danced as a young child and then joined Mobile Bay Dance Academy in September of 2007. Her nurturing teaching style is wonderful for small children who love to dance, play and learn. She is very energetic and an incredible mentor to our youngest dancers. Our little dancers love Miss Jenny, her wonderful spirit and passion for teaching dance classes.



Marissa Pritchard



Miss Marissa began her dance training at the age of 5. She joined Mobile Bay Dance Academy in September of 2007. Miss Marissa instills creativity, self-confidence, endurance and coordination into all of her dancers. She strives to create a fun learning environment while providing her dancers with the opportunity to learn and grow. Her students love her kind and encouraging nature and she loves sharing her love of dance!



Madelyn Gibbs



Miss Madelyn began her dance training at the age of 4 at Mobile Bay Dance Academy in our MBDA2U program. Throughout her 15 years of dancing with MBDA, she has trained to teach so much more than just dance. In her classes, students can be themselves, are encouraged to be creative and are making life long friends along the way. Miss Madelyn loves learning new dance techniques and sharing her inspiration with her students.



Karly Renna



Miss Karly began dancing at a young age at Performing Dance Arts and Alabama Dance Center in Huntsville, Alabama. She joined Mobile Bay Dance Academy in 2016. Miss Karly has a wonderful reputation for helping her students improve their balance, mobility, flexibility and strength. She currently lives in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and teaches our high school ballet classes virtually. Miss Karly has very unique choreography and loves sharing her passion of dance with others.



Alex Bryant



Miss Alex grew up dancing and training at Melanie Varner Dance Studio in Scottsboro, Alabama. She joined Mobile Bay Dance Academy in September of 2018. Miss Alex uses a variety of creative teaching techniques to encourage student involvement in her dance classes. She loves connecting with young students and watching them grow into confident dancers. Her passion for teaching dance really shines through her young dancers!



kylee stringer



Miss Kylee began her dance training at the age of 3. She joined Mobile Bay Dance Academy in 2006. Miss Kylee is a wonderful dance instructor who is dedicated to creating a fun dance environment where all of her young dancers feel encouraged to be their best selves. She has such a positive energy about her and it truly radiates into the dance classroom. All of her students love her high energy classes and she loves teaching them!



hanna johnson



Miss Hanna discovered her love for dancing at the age of 5 with Mobile Bay Dance Academy. Her goal for her students is for each of them to find joy and ease in movement. Miss Hanna creates a teaching environment that is very calming and sensitive to the needs of all of her students, no matter what their ability level is. Miss Hanna loves teaching all young dancers, especially our tiny dancers.
