Miss Kendra is the Owner-Director of Mobile Bay Dance Academy. She began her journey and love of dance at the young age of 4. She trained under Margaret Benson Hall Nelson and then moved on to train under Gale Frey & Buffy Covington at Gale's Studio of Dance. She graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. To further her love of the arts and to fulfill her dream of being a dance studio owner, she opened MBDA in 2005 traveling to local schools and daycare centers. In the fall of 2006, Miss Kendra traveled to New York City and trained at Broadway Dance Center to broaden her professional career. She continues to further her dance education by attending dance conventions and technique workshops all over the world. She brings innovative choreography to her students. She is a member of the National Dance Teacher’s Education Organization and Alabama Dance Council. Miss Kendra encourages self-esteem, discipline, and self-development through a structured atmosphere. She loves to see her dancers learn and excel while passing on her passion and love of dance.
